Black Molly pregnant, placed her with babies. Now I think she is dying?

16 November 2008 Comments

One of my black mollies had babies. I left the babies in the birthing tank. Then added the other pregnant molly in with the babies. Now she’s acting like she’s dying. What can I do? Did I do anything wrong?

How was she acting that made you think that she was dying? I need details! Many mollies and other livebeares are very sluggish, stay at the bottom, and don’t eat when they are almost ready to give birth.

The same thing happen to both of my silver lyretail mollys. The one that gave birth the first die, but the second one was save. The first one was by herself, the second one was united with two other mollies after. The mollies are group fishs or community, eventho they do not school all the time. And instead of birthing tank you might want to go with breeding tank.
