i have a black molly in my fish tank and over the last few weeks he has started to turn white and it seems to be getting worse! he seems to have lost weight and fins are all down, all the other fish in the tank are ok, i have been doing my regular water changes and treating the water and been testing this too and its all ok. he is still eating though. can any one help?

He must have Michael Jackson syndrome.
Well, I got my goldfish about 4 years ago, with some other fish.
My goldfish started losing its colour (from orange to white)
I’m not worried though, because it was still eating well and this was years ago now.
Your black Molly fish should be fine.
xx
it sounds like your fish is suffering from "Ic" eventually it will spread. Treat your tank. Stuff is available in pet shops..
Is the fish tank in a dark room? If fish are deprived of light for a significant period of time they will turn white - although they will still be healthy.
Good luck!
if hes slightly turning white put him in a bowl by himself for a week or 2 and he should heel if he doesent bring him too the vet trust me on this one i know.
dobby
believe it or not fish can molt, it could be nothing, of course the more reasonable explanation is Ic, a disease commonly found in fish. you can treat the water for it, just make sure you clean the tank before hand.
it has ick
