3 Harlequin Rasboras Dead…?
ok, so 3 of my 4 harlequin rasboras died in the last 2 days, one yesterday, one today. 20 gallon tank. all peaceful fish. there are smaller fish in the tank, which are still alive and doing great. pH just tested, its perfect, water was changed a few days ago, 25%. i added ick killer 24 hours before the change. right dose, because one of my fish had ick. the rasboras did not… water is free of chlorine and cloramines, ammonia killer was just put in. there are smaller fish, as i said, a few glo fish, one is a bit bigger than a rasbora, the other isnt, and a young minnow (about a centimeter and a half long). any ideas?
The minnow is a feeder fish i saved from a very respectable fish store, and they said itll be fine
The Rasboras are about 3 weeks old

How long if you had your fish? Although rasboras have a tendency to die unexpectedly. Make sure the young minnow is not a cold water freshwater fish or the minnow might be causing some unwanted sectional ammonia.
Rasboras, along with many other small-scaled Cyprinids, are quite sensitive to medications, especially malachite green and copper, both of which are often used to treat Ich. Because of their sensitivity, dosing at half strength is generally recommended. A full dose could shock their kidneys, liver, or other organs, leading to a quick death. A large water change and reduced strength doses would be best.
