Is my fish tank healthy?

9 June 2009 Comments

My 29 gallon tank has been set up for 1 year and I have 10 glowlight tetras & 10 peppered cory catfish. I’ve been using test strips and every time I would test I would get different test results. A friend of mines who owns a big tank told me about the API master test kit so I went out and bought one. My fish tank results are below and my tap water results also.

My Fish Tank:

Ph: 7.6
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 20 ppm

Tap Water Test Results:

Ph: 7.6
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 10 ppm
Jessica M - They get up to 2.5 inches. The bottom is never crowded & they have plenty of swimming room.
oops I misread your question. They are staying at about 2.5 inches.
I do 10%-15% water changes weekly. Should I be taking out more?
