i had two dalmation mollies and two black mollies. One of each color died a while ago, but i’ve noticed that the dalmation molly i had left now has no more spots and is a somewhat smaller version of the completely black molly. Do they have the ability to change color due to the other fish in their environment? I’m just curious as to what happened.

I have a 110 extra-high fish tank with 15 serpae tetras, 8 silver hatchets, two bolivian rams and a bristlenose pleco.
I’m having trouble keeping small schools of angelfish alive in this tank. I’ll put 5-6 angels in there, and within a couple weeks they tank on me (no pun intended). With no problems regarding water chemistry and otherwise good husbandry on my part, I’m blaming it on either overcrowding of multiple angels or, more likely, aggression from the serpaes.

I was think silver hatchet fish but I’m not sure if the barbs will mess with them. What other surface dwellers are there? (I’m not that interested in Danios)

Also, more importantly, if I were to get them, what type should I get. I definitely don’t want a silver hatchet fish. So, what are other types?
What kinds of hatchet fish are there?
